Avocado Nigiri

Avocado nigiri is a simple yet elegant sushi favorite, featuring creamy avocado paired with perfectly seasoned sushi rice. This vegetarian version is fresh, light and easy to make, making it perfect as part of a sushi platter or a delicious appetizer.

  • Soy sauce
  • Pickled ginger
  • Wasabi

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sushi rice according to the recipe and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  2. Cut the avocado into 10 even pieces or thick slices, depending on the shape you prefer.
  3. Lightly wet your hands and shape about 20 g (1 tablespoon) of sushi rice into 10 compact rounds or ovals.
  4. Place an avocado piece on top of each rice portion and gently press so it adheres to the rice.
  5. Arrange on a serving plate and serve immediately with soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi.
