Crispy Chicken Bao Buns

Soft steamed bao buns filled with crispy breaded chicken, fresh cucumber, spring onions, crunchy peanuts and flavorful sauces. Using store-bought bao buns and ready-made breaded chicken makes this an easy and delicious recipe that’s perfect for lunch, dinner or sharing with friends.

Ingredients

Bao Buns

  • 6 bao buns
  • 300 g breaded chicken
  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp roasted peanuts, roughly chopped

Sauces

  • Sweet chili sauce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sriracha sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the breaded chicken according to the package instructions.
  2. Steam the bao buns according to the package instructions.
  3. Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Thinly slice the cucumber and spring onions.
  5. Fill each bao bun with crispy chicken and cucumber.
  6. Drizzle with sweet chili sauce, mayonnaise and sriracha.
  7. Top with spring onions and chopped peanuts.
  8. Serve immediately while the bao buns are warm.
